2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better! If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate.
3. Please update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Please include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, ask them five questions.

[ profile] mrv3000 interviewed me.

1. What do you do to occupy your days? (Work? School? Stalking cats?) You can be as general or specific as you want.

I work in a ticket office, mainly as computer support, so I troubleshoot all day long. Recently, I've been working in the daytime and caring for my grandfather overnight (he's recovering from a hip-injury).

I live with my fiance in one place in the winter, but my kittens (well, cats, now) live in my own apartment six blocks away, so every day, I go over there and feed them. They're getting really fat.

I read my flist at work and generally stalk SG fandom authors who live everywhere and webcomic artists who live in Portland, OR.

I spend about two hours a day reading up on the latest computer tech, and about four hours a day reading up on vintage Apple hardware. I tinker with old Mac laptops and look for affordable computer systems for friends, family, and co-workers. I kinda hope to do that for a living one day.

And... that's how it goes.

2. What's your favorite food?

Anything my fiance cooks, to be honest. I have a special place in my heart for grilled cheese, though. :-D

3. Do you have any pets? Have you ever?

My family's had gerbils, dogs, cats, a robin, a raccoon, squirrels, and an iguana. I've personally only ever had kittens.

4. Are you still watching SG-1? If so, are you enjoying it?

Yeah, no. No, I'm not watching it. I enjoy classic SG-1 a ton (by which I mean Seasons 1 -7), but Season 8 was kind of a letdown, even though it was still good, and S9 & 10 should've been a spin-off series or something instead. They're still my characters (unlike Gilmore Girls - WTF, mate?), and the writing's still not bad, but I think somewhere along the way, they sort of ran out of the creativity that made the show so exciting and interesting and funny at the beginning. Don't get me wrong; I love Vala and Cameron cracks me up in his own way, but seriously, dudes, let the show die already. It would've been fantastic if they had stopped with Lost City and finished up with a movie. *sigh*

(Also, you didn't ask about Atlantis, but my short answer is, no, I stopped watching once I realized all the stories are SG-1 episodes with different window dressing.)

5. How many hours do you tend to sleep a night? 6? 8? 10?

HA! Sleep? What is this thing of which you speak? (6 hours would be amazing. Sign me up.)

Man, I used to be funnier than this. ...Oh well, time to go watch some Invisible Man.

Awww! Your cats have their own place! :)

A fiance that cooks! SCORE!!

And I'd be shocked at the raccoon, but I've actually known someone who also had a pet raccoon. Sorta.

It's going to be a pain getting the cats to accept that it's really *our* place once we're all living under the same roof. :-P

A fiance that cooks! SCORE!!

OMG, he's the best cook! He never backs down from trying some new Indian or Thai or Mexican food, and he makes his own chickpea, lentil, pasta, and other creations. And then there are the cookies...

Also, I don't cook, period, so it works out really well. :-P

I've actually known someone who also had a pet raccoon. Sorta.

Sorta know them? Sorta had a raccoon? Had a pet that was sorta a raccoon? This last possibility intrigues me.

Thanks for the interview, Merv!
